It was a lovely peaceful place to stay there loved it I will go back there

We gathered as a family of 17 (my brothers & mine), along with 5 dogs to celebrate the lives of our parents, following our father’s death.
We all sat around the large table for breakfast & pudding on our 2nd day with fruit from our father’s garden.
We all sat in the evening with the little ones playing games or watching them play.
The contained area for dogs to run around in was great, especially for the two guide dogs who are not used to having a free run every day! The surrounding wall was a little low for the husky/German Sheperd who is only 18mths old, so on a long lead. The separate dog bin was also useful.
The roads are narrow and winding and there is lots of stopping/reversing to allow others to pass or being thankful others have done this for you.
We ate at The Inn on the Lake, Glenridding 1st night & Pooley Bridge Inn on the 2nd followed by homemade crumble – warmed in the Aga.
Beautiful toiletries/linens & towels made it feel like luxury & views were fantastic.

A lovely quiet retreat away from the world. Beautiful surroundings and well equipped.

We had a brilliant weekend at the Birch Retreat. It is secluded and peaceful with incredible views of the woods and fields. Melmerby is a nice village and we were able to explore some of it during our stay.

Christine was superb and quick to respond to any questions I had.
I would say this is the most relaxing and enjoyable place we have stayed at through Airbnb.

We recently stayed in Wytheburn Cottage which is in a lovely spot and handy for quite a few places or to go walking from the front door. It is well equipped and has more than one tea towel!! The hamper was excellent together with items left in the fridge for us. I have recommended it to other people and would pay a return visit ourselves.

Had a very relaxing weekend getaway in the Lake District thanks to Christine & her team making it so easy to arrive, check in & relax straight away. Such a lovely touch that she left some local produce in the retreat for us after a long drive up to the Lakes. Would definitely highly recommend.

We had a wonderful two-night stay at Jenny’s Croft. Christine at The Rowley Estates provided exceptional customer service, responding incredibly promptly despite our very last-minute booking and making everything so easy.

The cottage, grounds and views were beautiful, with a superb standard throughout. The thoughtful welcome hamper was a particular highlight, combining locally produced treats with the estate’s own beautifully branded toiletries. It was a lovely touch and a wonderful way to support local businesses.

The cottage is in a peaceful rural setting; the landmarks of the Lake District are easily accessible by car. It is a beautiful place to visit throughout the year, especially for a cosy autumn or winter escape you simply wouldn’t want to leave.
