So much more than we were expecting.
The woodland drive, which lets you leave the outside world behind to stepping onto the decking and being greeted by views of nothing but the natural landscape.
Opening the door and entering you feel relaxed.
Everything you need is there, the welcome pack was lovely, probably the best coffee I’ve had and the raspberry jam IS the best I’ve ever had.
The beds are really comfortable, and we had such lovely nights sleep every night.
We will definitely be returning again.

We had a wonderful stay, the location was idyllic. It was so peaceful and secluded, the bed was comfortable and the hut had everything you could need. It was easy to find, Christine sent very clear instructions and some recommendations of things to see and do in the local area. The property was easy to access and the EV charger was incredibly handy. Breakfast items were provided, artisan bread and muesli, local eggs and organic juice, tea and coffee all very much appreciated our first morning after a long drive. I would highly recommend a stay here if you’re looking for peace and quiet, a very comfortable stay with a surprisingly good shower after a day out exploring the lake District.

I have just returned from an amazing three night stay at Melmerby Hall and Stag Cottage. A vast accommodation with large kitchen and breakfast area, several sitting rooms, multiple bedrooms with ensuite/shared bathrooms with a mix of single and double beds. Would be a stunning venue for weddings or functions and hope to be back in the future.

Lovely house in a great location. Plenty of space and well equipped. Excellent communication and very helpful host. Good sized bedrooms and plenty of parking. Would recommend for family gatherings.

The Riverain property at the edge of the Lake District is well located. Ullswater, Keswick and a 30 min drive to Ambleside and Windermere are within easy reach. We went as a family of 5 adults, so 3 beds and 3 bathrooms was essential. The layout worked really well for us. Riverain is well equipped and the welcome hamper was perfect. No complaints, we would definitely return, especially well catered for with EV Chargers.

We were welcomed with a very lovely locally sourced breakfast hamper that had all the essentials you required to get you through the first few days of breakfast. The location was as pictured and described such a great location for a long weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. Christine was very responsive to any messages sent during our stay, nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend these properties for a romantic or just a simple get away from it all weekend. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Christine’s stay was honestly incredible. Super private, our neighbours were sheep and cows. what more could you ask for!

This was such an incredibly beautiful place to stay ! Could not fault a thing. We booked this place for our 1st wedding anniversary and in no way did it disappoint. It was everything we were after and more. Lovely quiet location with the peaceful sound of the stream and birds (and the occasional sheep) The place was super comfortable and clean. Great recommendation of places to visit even though we did some hikes a little further out. We were also welcomed with some delicious local essentials. Christine is also very responsive and informative. 10/10 highly recommend !

We had a fantastic stay at the shepherd’s hut. The views were brilliant – waking up to sheep in the field right outside and the hills in the distance was a real highlight. It’s a stunning part of the country and felt like a proper break from the usual routine. The hut itself was really well thought out. Every detail seemed to have been planned to make the place practical, comfortable, and easy to settle into. The interior was finished to a high standard and had a lot of character – it was clear a lot of care had gone into it. We really enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in a great setting.
