We enjoyed every minute of our short break at Vale Croft. This immaculately presented detached cottage has far reaching views from the private patio over the Eden Valley towards the mountains of the Lake District.
The cottage was spotlessly clean and the owners provided a wonderful welcome hamper containing a range of locally sourced products. Locally made toiletries were also provided.
The kitchen area was well equipped and included basic items such as coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil etc. Logs and kindling were available for the very efficient wood burner.
We found Vale Croft to be the perfect place for two, to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Eden Valley.

We have had the most amazing 2 nights at Blencowe Hall. The location is amazing and the property is immaculate, with everything we needed easily found. The complimentary Hamper was a lovely touch and the owners were very responsive on all communication. I would highly recommend staying for any special occasion, and we will definitely go back. Our stay in the Riverain Coach House, in the grounds of Blencowe Hall, was most enjoyable thanks to the elegant and comfortable accommodation, well furnished and equipped facilities and the splendid location. Clearly, Rowley Estates know a thing or two about pleasing guests for which we are very grateful and thank them for a memorable holiday which we shall long remember.

Beautiful farmhouse in the countryside. Pub in walking distance. We loved our short stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Couldn’t have been better, was so peaceful and cosy. Set in the most stunning grounds with proper countryside views.
The hosts went above and beyond to make you feel welcome and provided everything you could need; A beautiful hamper, with thank you card was such a lovely touch along with providing coals, logs, firelighters. These little touches make such a massive difference. Value for money in everyway.

Absolutely beautiful location where you can head off to the hills from the back garden! Really comfortable beds, very well equipped kitchen and large sitting and BBQ areas

A beautifully refurbished farm in a quiet location is what we expected and what we got! The AGA was new to all of us but a fabulous source of warmth and cooking options. The amenities were excellent as well as communication. The single track road was a bit challenging but lent excitement to each of our American drivers! A dream location in the Lake District

We booked for my Father’s 80th birthday gathering. Pleasantly surprised when we arrived to take in the panoramic views to the northern lakes; the welcome hamper an additional bonus! The setting was lovely on a quiet lane with livestock to both sides. Great views of sunset if you take the path to the gate opposite the main door, there is somewhere to sit to take in the moment. Children had plenty to do; the whole party had a great stay and loved their rooms. More than happy here, hope to stay again. Thank you Christine and Team 🙂

Stayed in this sheperds hut and it was fantastic. Great hosts, arrived to an amazing hamper with jams,te,coffee,biscuits,milk,bread,and butter. Nice and clean well presented and great view over the fields. Private parking in ur own little woodland retreat
