Absolutely fantastic place! Been twice in 2015 and 2025 and both occasions were brilliant.
You need to go to believe how lovely the place is, well worth a visit with friends and family. Get it booked!

Larch Retreat was a fantastic little Shepherd’s Hut with everything you could possibly need. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and there’s thorough documentation about both the hut and the surrounding area. The kitchen is a great size and was stocked with lovely homemade jam, bread, and granola on arrival – such a nice touch. The log burner made it feel incredibly cosy, and everything was spotless and comfortable. I genuinely couldn’t fault the experience. From booking to checkout, Christine was clear, helpful, and a pleasure to communicate with.

This is our second stay at a Rowley Estates property and can’t recommend it enough.

Kirkbride Hall has everything you need and is very well kept. The garden is a lovely big space and perfect for our dogs as it’s completely closed off. The team are always so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much for them. We’ll be back ❤️

Had a lovely stay at Jennys Croft, beautiful, well equipped property in great location within easy driving distance to the Lakes. Fabulous welcome basket on arrival, thank you for making us feel so welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely stay with family and dogs, property was perfect for us, great location with walks on the doorstep and lots of fun days out. Local village bakery is very handy. Christine’s communication was excellent.

A stunning hut, responsive hosts and just a picturesque location!!

an absolutely stunning stay, with the brook just below, trees all around and of course a beautiful hut. plenty of storage for bags and rucksacks under the bed. gorgeous spots on the decking to read and have the fire going. easy walk to local pubs as well as short drive to lakes.

The owner was fantastic throughout and provided detailed instructions on how to find it, kept in regular contact up to and throughout the visit to make it even better. Absolute 10/10 service. The shepherds hit itself was pristinely clean, with an amazing location and well stocked – even supplying essentials!

We have just come back from a lovely few days at Riverain, party of 6 adults, 2 dogs  and two babies.  The coach house is so comfortable, plenty of room for us all and lots of games to enjoy.  We even lit the fire a couple of evenings which was such a treat.  The kitchen is a delight, sharp knives, decent pans and even a full spice rack.  I had brought along some spices and oils but didnt need to use them.  The welcome basket, full of local goodies was delicious.  We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this lovely coach house.
