Christine’s place was wonderful and I would definitely return to one of her properties. My favourite thing about the house was the amazing view across to the Lake District but there were so many perks to the house. Our group of 9 were very comfortable, the kitchen was great for group cooking and the bedrooms all had a decent amount of space. There is no dud bedroom. The welcome hamper was much appreciated and we really relaxed in the house.

We have stayed in “The Lakes” a number of times but Riverain is by far the best property that we have stayed at. Spacious and well appointed, it had everything that we wanted. Christine is very well organised and ensured that everything ran smoothly. The comprehensive welcome Hamper was a real bonus. The sun shone every day and we enjoyed scenic walks and barbeques. Yes, this really was the Lakes….Brilliant

A fabulous place to share with friends. Lovely bright property, every comfort thought of, well equipped, fabulous outside space and location. Great base for walking and cycling from the door.

We enjoyed our stay at Hause Hall Farm while we were celebrating Tom’s 80th birthday. Everything was in place to enable us to make the most of the wonderful environment and the Hall itself. We were made to feel so welcome and felt so comfortable in every way by Rowley estates. The superior accommodation and Martindale itself all contributed to a wonderfully memorable celebration. We would wholeheartedly recommend Rowley Estates as we have stayed in several of their wonderful premises over the years. Hause Hall however surpassed all expectations!

We had a fantastic stay at Kirkbride Hall. The house was beautifully kept, spacious, and impressively well-equipped—from a generous welcome hamper to logs for the fire and charcoal for the BBQ. The 2-in-1 pool/dining table was a real hit and kept us entertained every evening. The large garden and peaceful setting were perfect for our group, and our dogs loved the space—as well as the thoughtful treats left for them. The house was spotless on arrival, and the detailed local info packs helped us plan each day with ease. Christine made the whole booking process smooth and stress-free, especially impressive with six dogs! She was welcoming, responsive, and made us feel completely at home. Every detail was clearly considered, and it’s clear the Rowley Estates team takes great pride in their properties. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kirkbride Hall and look forward to booking another Rowley Estates stay soon. Thank you for a memorable break!

Recently stayed at the Oak Retreat for four days. First time I chose to stay at such a place & it didn’t disappoint. Clean, cozy & had everything my son & I needed. If there’s a place you want to visit to get away from all the noise this is it. I would certainly arrange to stay again.

Top notch Hut at a perfect location. Everything was just simply perfect. Highly recommended! Also, the home made Raspberry Jam was out of this world…Thank you Christine!

Lovely shepherds hut! Beautiful location with Penrith town just a short distance away. Lovely, attentive host! We will definitely be back!
